History lives here in stone and silence. The graves at Glenwood each detail the story of a past life and time. Colonial, tablet stones carved in limestone or marble mark the early graves.
Site Heritage
Glenwood has had several lives. It was once the site of a brewery. In the 1860's, a tannery was located on the grounds. When the tanning factory closed in
1864, it became a farm, and then was chosen a few years later as the site for a new cemetery.
Today, Glenwood retains its charm and beauty.
Glenwood Cemetery is an active cemetery with many plots available and many more acres of land for development. Glenwood is also an urban forest and parkland enjoyed by local residents and many annual visitors.
